Welcome to Tov Therapy

Good Therapy for a Better You

At Tov Therapy, "Tov" isn’t just our name—it’s our mission. In Hebrew, tov means good, and we believe in good therapy that leads to real growth, healing, and positive change.

Who We Are

Tov Therapy is led by Yosef Grodko, LISW-S, and Ahuva Grodko, LISW-S, a husband-and-wife team with over a decade of experience in the field. As parents of seven, they understand the complexities of family life and the importance of balance, resilience, and personal growth

Licensed therapist providing counseling services in Cleveland office

I’m Yosef Grodko, LISW-S.

I take a practical, down-to-earth approach, combining evidence-based techniques with a common-sense perspective to help you build a life that feels more fulfilling and successful.

In addition to my private practice, I serve as the Clinical Director at Brighter Day OH and as a school counselor at the Hebrew Academy of Cleveland.

I have extensive experience working with children and their parents, and my practice also includes supporting teens and adults.

My primary focus is with clients navigating ADHD and/or anxiety, along with the self-doubt, stress, or relationship challenges that can come with them.

In my work with parents, I offer compassionate guidance and support along with practical tools and proven strategies to help them better understand and support their children. Together, we work to strengthen family bonds, foster healthier communication, and equip both parents and children with skills to help them navigate challenges.

I believe therapy should be a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and supported. Life can be complicated, and my goal is to help you tap into your strengths, gain clarity, and create meaningful change. I know that no two people are the same, which is why I prioritize flexibility, curiosity, and collaboration in the therapy process.

I deeply respect the courage it takes to seek support, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients through the twists, turns, and occasional potholes on the road to growth. Together, we’ll move toward a life that feels more intentional, balanced, and fulfilling at a pace that feels right for you.

Cleveland therapist who understands and supports your goals

I’m Ahuva Grodko, LISW-S.

Having been a therapist for over a decade, I continuously look forward to being a part of the deep and meaningful process called ‘therapy’. Using an eclectic mix of modalities, I humbly join with teens and young adults as we embark on a strength-based journey, developing strategies to cope with life‘s challenges.

My main areas of focus include self-esteem, anxiety, depression, trauma, social relationships, family relationships, impulsivity, and mood disorders. I am also a certified EMDR therapist.

More than any of my schooling, I’ve learned the most from my clients. Their courage, passion, wisdom, and dedication are the foundations of effective therapy. No matter where you are in your journey, I’m here to provide a safe, supportive space for growth and healing.

FAQs

  • Yosef is currently in-network with Optum. Ahuva is not accepting insurance at this time and sees clients on a private-pay basis.

If you are paying out of pocket, we’re happy to provide a superbill (an itemized receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company. Depending on your plan, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement.

  • A superbill is an itemized receipt that includes all necessary details for insurance reimbursement. If we are not in-network with your plan, you can submit the superbill to your insurance company, and if you have out-of-network benefits, they may reimburse a portion of the session cost.

  • You should contact your insurance provider and ask:

    • Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health services?

    • What percentage of the session cost will be reimbursed for CPT Code 90837 (53-minute therapy session)?

    • What is my deductible, and how much has been met this year?

    • How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?

  • During the first session, we’ll begin discussing your reasons for seeking therapy, your history, and current challenges, while beginning to identify your goals and how we can best support you.

This session will give you a chance to determine if you feel comfortable and supported in our space and with our approach. It's important that you feel confident in your therapist and that you feel heard and understood. We encourage you to ask any questions you may have about the process, our treatment methods, or how we can best work together.

By the end of the first session, you should have a better understanding of how we work, and whether we are the right fit to move forward in achieving your therapy goals. If for any reason you feel like it might not be a good match, we'll be happy to help you find the right support.

  • We prioritize in-person sessions to provide the most effective therapeutic experience, but we do offer virtual sessions when necessary.
